Samsung has released the Black Yak Edition of the Galaxy Watch4

The Thom Browne Edition, Bespoke Edition, Maison Kitsune Edition, PXG Golf Edition, and Wooyoungmi Edition are among the unique editions available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 that was released in August. Samsung has added a new watch to the lineup today, the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Black Yak Edition.

This limited edition Galaxy Watch4 is named after a collaboration between Samsung and South Korean outdoor clothing manufacturer Black Yak. Mountaineers will like the smartwatch, which supports Black Yak’s environmental initiatives.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Black Yak Edition is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes and has a special watch face that changes colour from red to green around lunchtime (12PM to 1PM) when disposable products are used, reminding users to clean the disposable items.

This is part of Black Yak’s Green Yak Campaign, which includes the PlustIC (a portmanteau of Plus and Plastic) PET bottle recycling effort and the Clean Mountain plogging campaign (picking up trash while jogging).

The Galaxy Watch4 Black Yak Edition also has mountaineering and hiking modes, as well as the ability to trace your path using GPS. In addition, altitude data is provided.

The 40mm version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Black Yak Edition costs KRW279,000 ($220/€210), while the 44mm model costs KRW309,000 ($245/€230). It will be available in South Korea from June 15 on Samsung’s official website, with a retail bundle that includes an exclusive Black Yak strap, Black Yak tumbler bag, and a 40% discount code for Black Yak items.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Watch4 Black Yak Edition is a device that promotes smart outdoor activities and environmentally beneficial ideals, and that it plans to work with Black Yak on a variety of projects in the future, including developing outdoor activity apps.
