Angelina Jolie’s daughter is planning to attend an HBCU.
Spelman College in Atlanta will be where Zahara Jolie-Pitt attends school, her mother said over the weekend.
“Zahara reunited with her Spelman siblings! New students, we wish you all the best ““It’s official,” Jolie stated in the caption of a photo posted to her verified Instagram account. “It is an honour and a privilege to have a member of my family join the Spelman family.”
Women’s liberal arts institution Spelman is home to prominent alumni, including Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Alice Walker and “Cosby Show” singer Keshia Knight Pulliam.
Morehouse College for Men is just down the road from Spelman College. Because of their proximity and shared occurrences, the moniker “SpelHouse” was coined.
Jolie chuckled and held her daughter after seeing a video from Morehouse’s “SpelhouseLA” event where people tried to teach her a version of the “Electric Slide” dance.
Vivienne and Knox, 14, Shiloh, 16, Pax, 18, and Maddox, 20, are all Jolie’s children with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
